There Is No Comrade Like A Song

There is no comrade like a song

to transcend barriers,

your own sentiment to

and be its courier.

with a gentle, smooth tongue;

How good it is in loneliness

to hear your soul’s song sung.

– T. LaReveur

Inspired by the following poem:

“There Is No Frigate Like A Book”

by Emily Dickinson

There is no frigate like a book

Of prancing poetry.

This traverse may the

poorest take

without oppress of toll;

How frugal is the chariot

that bears a human soul!
